Land Rover Range Rover Evoque (11 - present)
In the age of the Crossover, Land Rover could not be seen to lag behind and with this they took the lead. It is a smart looking vehicle with the off-road/on-road performance true to its heritage. The look is young and modern and everyone seems to want one. There are waiting lists across the world. It is the Number One selling Land Rover. Its unique looks, lovely cabin and excellent handling make it a winning combination – and the price isn’t bad either. Like the other Range Rovers, the Evoque comes with Terrain Response, and Hill Descent Control, so going off-road is as safe and comfortable as possible. There are two excellent engines: a 2.0-litre petrol with 237bhp, and a 2.2-litre turbo-diesel which has 187bhp and 148bhp outputs.

• There’s a lot of kit in the Evoque so ensure that it all works
